WELCOME

Last week I received this cross stitch kit and I finished it in a week. It was an easy and fun project.                                                    When we moved into our new apartment,                                                                                        I knew I wanted  a new homemade welcome sign hanging on our front door.

Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud

It's been a while since I was in bloggerland, although I have read some of your blogs. It was a busy time for me, we moved house and husband went on some business trips to Europe and Asia. In between we had a great lunch with and for Malu, a lovely brazilian friend.  She and her family are leaving for  Houston, and as an extra farewell gift I made her kitchen towel. The quote is from Maya Angelou; Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.

TULIPS FOR HOLLAND

My mum doesn't have loads of cushions on her sofa, two at the most. Last year she told me when I was in Holland, she would like to have a new cushion. I said that would be nice and asked her what kind of colours she liked. Colourful she replied. This stitching pattern is from an embroidery magazine I bought years ago, while living in Scotland. The beadwork around the stitching is my own design or creativity. I think there is plenty of colour and it is already in the mail on its way to Holland. Well, mum I hope this cushion cover is to your liking.

CHRISTMAS STOCKING 2018

I have a finish. This Christmas stocking I keep for myself and it is already hanging on the mantle. I had some fabric I had bought a few years ago, which I used for the back and top.
