Wonderful stitching and a beautiful design; Art Nouveau?, It reminds me of Charles Rennie Mackintosh who was also scottish and lived in the same period.
Just found your blog and it has so many beautiful things in it. I love the lily of the valley design you are doing for your mother, I too had them in my bouquet! And some of those books look as though they are my reads, I read more than anything else! Sorry your friend is moving away but Australia is a wonderful place, I loved that saying so poignant.
