HAPPY 2013

APRON

Here is my friend Marina, I made her a apron and cross stitch , BORN TO BAKE on it. She is all smiles and used the apron at Christmas and baked an apple pie for us,  yummie. 

MERRY CHRISTMAS

CHRISTMAS TREE

The CHRISTMAS TREE  is back again, it gives me always a strange feeling christmas in a tropical country. Well christmas decorations are big in Rio. I bought a while ago a spanish magazine and there I found a patron of a skirt for the tree. It was a bit of sewing but, I think it looks nice and I don't see the cables of the lights anymore.

MADRID

A Weekend Madrid with my daughter, it was wonderful, we found a great shop;                                                     SALVADOR BACHILLER   nice shoes, bags and suitcases etc. I bought a very practical bag with lots of zippers and compartments, so I can carry more and more with me. (     Poor shoulder )   I was in love with this lovely teacup purse, they were in all kind of different colours.

FINALLY FRAMED

This is a post from 28 oct. 2012 The Christmas Angel is framed after some hick ups I took her home. unfortunately I have to bring her back again, because it is still not good. Well I am happy with the colours of the passe partout and the frame.              

CARD FOR ALISON

                  My niece Alison became 22 years old this week, so I made this card for her.                   Hope she gets it on time, because the mail is slow on this side of the world.                                   Anyway I 'll be in a fortnight in Holland and be able to give her a nice present,                   cosmetics a bag ? , well it will be SOMETHING GIRLY.

TEA CARD

I made this card for my mum,  and send it to the Netherlands with some sachets tropical tea.

ART DECO

You will find this sachet in the walk in closet of my husband, keeps his shirts with a fresh fragrance.  It's stitch in half cross stitch. I like the design , maybe I am gonna use softer colours for a more feminine touch.

KITCHEN STOOL

I changed the look of this old kitchen stool,  the colours cheer up the kitchen a kind of recycling.

FINISHED

Last week I finished my christmas angel, it was a very nice and complicated, sometimes I counted wrong and had to start all over again. I love my angel and bring her next week to the frame shop. I can't wait for Christmas.

HEDGE HOG

I my wardrobes I keep little sachets  filled with lavender or grated soap. This hedge hog is one of my favourites and it gives my golf clothes a nice scent.

TEA TIME

Last week it was raining several days, so I made these cards for my niece Marlies and daughter Myrthe. I 'm gonna send as well a maracuja teabag with the card. Hope they taste Brasil and get some rest. Because the girls are always busy.                                                          CHEERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

25 ANNIVERSARY

My sister Marga and brother in law Rob are tuesday 25 years married. They celebrated their anniversary this weekend together with my three beautiful nieces. They choose a nice hotel on a small island called Texel. I totally forgot this wonderful milestone , so I had to fix very fast  a card for them.

FREE STYLE

My first FREE STYLE EMBROIDERY PROJECT,  all kind of different stitches and colouring with a kind of textile paint. I use this as a pouch  for my tools.  

CHRISTMAS ANGEL

 This is my new project, I started at the beginning of the month June.  When I lived in Aberdeen I fell in love with this angel.  I saw her in my favourite cross stitch magazine THE CROSS STITCHER.      The design is from JOAN ELIOTT,  the threads are from DMC  and its on AIDA 14 with a little sparkle.                      I bet I gonna do a lot of cross stitching these days.

DESIGUAL

MINI VICTORIA, Love this small bag. She was a birthday present from my daughter Myrthe,. DESIGUAL is fairly popular in Holland, and i am a big fan as well, check out their clothes.   

OLDIE FOR SEPTEMBER GEISHA'S

I cross stitched these lovely japanese ladies for my daughter Myrthe.  I was at that time living in two countries Scotland -Aberdeen and Norway - Stavanger.  In both countries the weather can be abysmal so, I had a good excuse to stay at home and do some cross stitching. 2008- 2009

BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR GABRIELLA

BABY GABRIELLA Had her first birthday recently, I made a pillow and from the leftover fabric a little bear and heart. I got the design from my favourite magazine  the Cross stitcher. Her mama was very pleased to get something different and personal, because the little girl got so many toys as presents.
